Starting out in her studio in Berlin in 1987, Patricia experimented with oil on canvas and wood. Installing a structure on the canvas before applying oil paint makes her work unique in every aspect. Although she had connections to the Berlin Academy of the Arts, Patricia is foremost a self-taught artist. Besides large format canvasses and wood board paintings, she discovered affection for wood and started restoring old furniture pieces. Some of the pieces were brought back to its natural beauty and some were painted with ornament or mosaic patterns. Studying Buddhism Patricia was exposed to Tibetan art and Tibetan ornamental work and included this art form in her portfolio. She recently opened her studio in the Sarasota/Bradenton area working freelance and custom Tibetan furniture art.
